Wow ! The people are so nice !!!!!!!!!!i asked to use the restroom without buying anything and they treated me with the same respect they treat costumers with ! I’m def coming with my family soon ! So impressed !!!!! Nice job

They are by far the kindest staff. I love stopping in every other day for a cup. Quiche is amazing !!!

Came with friends last night and honestly had the best time. We were all kind of tired when we got there so we had the espresso self cocktail. It was soooooo good and we could not get enough!! Neo (not sure if I spelled his name right) was the bartender there and he was so nice and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed ourselves along with his colleague who was our server! We could not be more pleased! Can’t wait to go back to visit. Thank you Da Capo team!

Everyone is so attentive and the food is fantastic.

I'm a black coffee drinker, I respect the bean. Da Capo has some good beans and their expresso pulls are on point. Good americanos (a shot or double shot with hot water) which is my default garb-and-go. I don't drink so can't say much about the bar except that it looks rather comprehensive. Good atmosphere, must be a great place to get a drink. Owner Craig is a cool guy. Met him once at the shop and he's good people. I think he had a moped long before they were cool. Scooty. I recommend for the necessary coffee fix where you want something very good at a reasonable NYC price.

Generally disappointing. The quiche was heated in a panini press and was full of chunks of fat. The "pine nut" lemon tart was clearly covered in almond slivers not pine nuts and tasted like uncooked starch. It was also enormously expensive. Service was lazy and and refused to move from behind the counter to let you order (even when you can't hear them) but still leaves the area to serve. I was super hungry but I still couldn't make myself finish my food.

Gave me a cold macchiato when I just wanted a regular (hot) one and 2/3 consisted of ice cubes. Macchiato are not ment as cold beverages, the bitterness becomes too apparent.

Upscale espresso / brunch spot. Food looked super good and it was pleasantly busy on a Saturday afternoon. Folks seemed to like it a lot. My experience (first time) was rather strange. I sat at the bar and after a while I flagged down the barista and ordered an americano and a water and settled in. She refilled my water when it was empty, but a few minutes later she took away the still full water glass. Which was unexpected. Then, she slapped the bill the bar, to which I replied 'Can I have another americano?' Without words, she turned around, made one, and brought it back to me. As soon as I was finished with it, she slapped the bill on the bar again. My experience was dissonant with my expectations. This looked like an intimate, fancy spot on UWS. My experience was a cold, impersonal one. Not going back.

I'm honestly impressed at how bad service is. Maybe 10 people in the whole place and the barista with the face tattoo went out of her way to ignore anyone trying to order.

Possibly my favorite spot in the city. Great cocktails, delicious food (love the chef personally), very kind and fun staff! I truly feel like at home and I appreciate places where the owners are around and are humble and gracious towards their clientele. I blindly recommend it for every night of the week. Oh and last but not least, this place has been a rock for me and has made me feel better through tough times that we’ve all had in this city. Love only :)

Prices high service slow and food mediocre

Meh. Eventually received friendly service after bartender had lengthy meltdown over till being off from prior evening or week. Food is okay, cocktails are overpriced. More interesting spots in the neighborhood with better coffee.

Owners had coke all over their nose and giving employees shot. Unprofessional and creepy. Over price and basic. could do better

If you’re looking for a place that you can do a couple lines of coke and drink till you’re a mess this is the place to do it.. Walked in for dinner the other day and what it seemed to be like was the owner was taking shots with employees and friends and proceeded to speak with the bartenders as I stood there waiting on a table.... The owners are clearly a MESS, If they aren’t drunk they’re too busy doing cocaine in the establishment (saw with my own eyes!!!) Really feel like you guys should work on this and really learn how to run a business because it’s very embarrassing and a slap in the face not only to your business but to the people who actually enjoy running one! Hope you guys find this helpful and learn from it.

Amazing amd pleasant atmosphere. The coffee is exquisite!

Stopped in one morning to grab a coffee but the barista/bartender had stepped out to grab milk (we were told by another customer at the bar.) A few people arrived after we did, bartender/barista came back and immediately proceeded to serve the folks who came in after us instead of asking how long folks had been waiting. One of the them seemed to be a regular. When we were finally served, my order had milk in it (when I asked for black). For me, coffee was overpriced and service was meh. Sounds like it's probably a good neighborhood spot if you pop in regularly and know the staff, but that shouldn't be a requirement to get good service.

Best cup of mocha I have ever had. Not too much seating besides at the bar, but I got it to go. Wished I had more days in NYC to get this. Enjoy a Sunday afternoon mocha and walk through the nearby Grand Bazaar for a nice date.

Its unfortunate that a wine bar does not know that you never serve a five-year-old Pinot Grigio. It practically tasted like diluted dish soap. Especially one that is not worth more than 14$ a bottle. The food wasn't too much better than this despicable understanding of wines either.

Good food and drinks but perpetually mediocre service with an occasional side of attitude. Getting someone to take an order or give you water can be a battle but it’s a large space with wifi so pros and cons

This was my 2nd time here, and although the menu has changed in the meantime, the food is just as good as I remember. Ordered the salmon, skirt steak, and the mac & cheese; all were perfectly cooked and so flavorful. Combine the amazing food with the friendly staff, and you can bet I'll be back for more.

$10 is great for a happy hour cocktail that was based off the Caparinha.

Their menu sets the price for sandwich $10, but you are actually charged 12 for simple grilled cheese sandwich with salad. In your check and receipt they would state $12 for sandwich with $2 explained in parentheses put for cheese, sort of cheese tax ;) Very friendly service with "pay afterward" option but unexpected price.

This is by far my favorite coffee shop, and it also happens to be a bar and a restaurant. The chef is incredible. The workers are great. They also support emerging artists!

A cozy bar with live Jazz music. I went with colleagues during Happy hour (5-8pm), they have bar foods plus really good pasta options. Would love to come back again.

Love Da Capo! I organize events in their room in the back of the cafe and we always have a wonderful time! Everything is perfect and so welcoming:the people, the organization, the coffee, the food. Cannot recommend enough!

A kind of coffee-and-cocktail hybrid bar that is always too easy imagined, difficult to be realized. But this one at the particularly stunning location does create a possibility that it might be actually possible to satiate the diverse needs of customers at once.

The best spot on the UWS for a coffee in the morning to a cocktail at night. Any time. It's a friendly atmosphere. Easy and fun. Chic decor. Local artwork. The back room is perfect for a special occasion gathering.

Bartenders are extremely creative and they have a fantastic whiskey/scotch collection on hand. Need to come back for the food because there was a burger that looked like it belongs in my life.
